Our family tree story starts with Bhusa Bhatt who was of Madiya origin and a Nagar Brahmin native of Morbi. In 1479 C.E. (sawant year 1535) Mahmud Begada conquered Junagadh and brought along his oracle (peer) Shah Server Sultan who then went on to convert the whole of Junagadh. Amongst the population, the diwan (prime minister of Junagadh) Bhusa Bhatt embraced Islam as well. In the journey of conquering more lands, the diwan and Shah server sultan were one of the many that travelled as troops. However, they stopped along the way which later became known as Sarod, after they established it as their home. Once they began to reside there, the sons continued to proper the town.
